CURTAINS, a comedy set in Cleveland that tells the “mostly true” story of Cleveland’s notorious Subcutaneous Theatre, will makes its area premiere at the 9th annual Short. Sweet. Film Fest in downtown Cleveland in Feb.

CURTAINS will screen Saturday, Feb. 29, as part of the festival’s comedy program. The festival will showcase 150 short films from local and global filmmakers. This marks CURTAINS’ 30th official selection.

Screenings will take place at the state-of-the-art Alex Theater inside the Metropolitan at the 9 Hotel, a venue near Playhouse Square, the largest performing arts center outside of NYC. Several local institutions, including the Cleveland Playhouse and Cleveland Plain Dealer are name-checked in CURTAINS, a film about an avant-garde theatre director who refuses to compromise his artistic integrity.
