CURTAINS SELECTED FOR STAR-STUDDED 25TH ANNUAL SAN ANTONIO FILM FESTIVAL.

CURTAINS has been named an official selection for the 25th anniversary edition of San Antonio Film Festival. The film will screen on Saturday, August 3, as the final film in the festival’s The Last Laugh Shorts Block.

In addition to more than 100 short, documentary and feature length films from around the world, the 2019 Festival will also feature its Hollywood Insider panel series, celebrity meet and greets, filmmaker socials, exclusive after parties and the annual Awards Ceremony.

Among the celebrities and artists scheduled to attend are San Antonio native and studio executive Marcia Nasatir (The Big Chill, Rocky, Apocalypse Now); Disney animator Davy Liu (The Lion King, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast); director and editor Anne Goursaud (The Outsiders, Bram Stoker’s Dracula); and A.P. Gonzalez, UCLA film professor and writer/director (The Wetback, Clay Farmers).

Cheech Marin of the comedy duo Cheech and Chong will be presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Texas Commission on the Arts for his lifelong advocacy of the Chicano Art Movement. The festival will also screen the world premiere of I Am Patrick Swayze, a tribute to the late actor featuring interviews with Demi Moore, Rob Lowe, Sam Elliott, C. Thomas Howell, Jennifer Grey, brother Don Swayze and wife Lisa Niemi.

CURTAINS NAMED OFFICIAL SELECTION FOR NOHO CINEFEST, THE FILM’S 7th L.A. SCREENING.

“Curtains” has been named an official selection for the 2019 North Hollywood Cinefest, marking our seventh screening in LA. We’re the opening film for the Shorts 11 block, screening at 6PM on March 25.

Located in the heart of the NoHo Arts District in Los Angeles, NoHo CineFest has established itself as a premiere event for independent cinema from all over the world. More than 20 features and 90 short films will screen at the 2019 festival, which also includes press and red carpet events, parties and seminars.

CURTAINS WINS BEST COMEDY AT 15TH ANNUAL DAM SHORT FILM FESTIVAL IN BOULDER CITY.

CURTAINS had a fantastic screening for a packed house on Fri., Feb. 8, at the 15th annual Dam Short Film Festival, one of the best-run fests and most responsive audiences we’ve experienced with our film to date.

We were surprised and proud last night to be named Best Comedy for the festival, the largest in Nevada.

Curtains one of 130 films from around the world to screen at Nevada's largest film festival.

CURTAINS will screen next month at the 15th annual Dam Short Film Festival in Boulder City, NV.

We’re honored to be among the 130 films from around the world selected for Nevada’s largest festival, celebrated for its dedication to the art of the short film.

CURTAINS screens on Friday, Feb. 8, at the historic Boulder Theatre, a 400-seat movie palace built in 1933 now owned by Desi Arnaz, Jr.

CURTAINS NAMED OFFICIAL SELECTION FOR MONTEREY'S MONARCH FILM FESTIVAL.

CURTAINS has been named an official selection for the 7th annual Monarch Film Festival in Pacific Grove — a stone’s throw from Monterey, birthplace of CURTAINS writer/producer Beth Hoover. It marks the film’s sixth CA festival since premiering at the 2017 LA Shorts International Film Festival.

CURTAINS will screen on Dec. 8 as part of the fest’s narrative short block, one of just 20 films selected to screen for the 2018 edition.

As Pacific Grove's only festival dedicated solely to cinema art, Monarch Film Festival's mission is to be a catalyst for greater appreciation of Cinema as art, build the local filmmaking community and work with Hollywood and independent film makers alike to showcase Northern California as a dynamic place to shoot and screen movies.

CURTAINS NAMED SCRIPT FINALIST FOR PALM SPRINGS INTERNATIONAL COMEDY FESTIVAL.

A half hour pilot script based on the main character and world of “Curtains” has been selected as a finalist for the Palm Springs International Comedy Festival.

The week-long festival will be held Nov. 10-18 at Hotel Zoso (formerly Hard Rock Hotel) in Palm Springs and will showcase curated film, TV and web series official selections as well as live comedy talent from around the world. The festival will honor actress Illeana Douglas with its Pioneer in Comedy award.

The “Curtains” script was one of 12 finalists selected for the TV pilot script category.
