A half hour pilot script based on the main character and world of “Curtains” has been selected as a finalist for the Palm Springs International Comedy Festival.

The week-long festival will be held Nov. 10-18 at Hotel Zoso (formerly Hard Rock Hotel) in Palm Springs and will showcase curated film, TV and web series official selections as well as live comedy talent from around the world. The festival will honor actress Illeana Douglas with its Pioneer in Comedy award.

The “Curtains” script was one of 12 finalists selected for the TV pilot script category.

California loves CURTAINS. Excited to be an official selection for San Francisco Independent Short Film Festival (SF Indie Shorts), the inaugural all-shorts fest from the 20th San Francisco Independent Film Festival.

SFIndie marks our 5th Cali festival selection and our first screening in Northern California. The film premiered at the 2017 L.A. Shorts International Film Festival in and is an official 2018 selection the the upcoming HollyShorts Screening Series (Oct.) Sherman Oaks Film Festival (Nov.) and Studio City International Film Festival in L.A.

CURTAINS will screen on Sun., Nov. 11, at 9PM to kick off the festival’s “Connections: Do you play well with others?” block. The festival runs Nov. 9-11 at San Francisco’s Alamo Drafthouse New Misson.

CURTAINS RECEIVES TWO NOMINATIONS FROM REEL EAST TEXAS FILM FESTIVAL.

CURTAINS has been nominated for two awards in the short film category for the 2018 Reel East Texas Film Festival.

The film is one of five Best Comedy | Short nominees, and CURTAINS actor Christopher Woolsey’s performance nabbed him a Best Supporting Actor | Short nomination.

CURTAINS screens on Friday, Nov. 16, during the festival, which runs Nov. 15-18 in Kilgore, Texas at the historic Texan Theatre.

CURTAINS has been named an official selection for the 6th annual Studio City International Film Festival in Los Angeles.

CURTAINS will screen in the opening film block to kick off the festival on Friday, Nov. 9, one of 100+ short films and features scheduled for the week-long festival.

CURTAINS TO MAKE UK PREMIERE AT INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM FESTIVAL SFF in LONDON.

CURTAINS has been selected by International Short Film Festival SFF in the United Kingdom for its 2018 festival.

The film is an official selection for the “Best Short Film” under 30 minutes category and will screen on Friday, Oct. 26 at the Whirled Cinema, an arthouse theatre in the heart of London.

The festival will mark the film’s UK premiere.

CURTAINS will screen on Friday, Nov. 9, in the 10 pm film block at the 2018 Sherman Oaks Film Festival.

Founded by longtime residents and movie veterans alike, Sherman Oaks Film Festival (SOFF) showcases the best undiscovered movies in the heart of LA — in the ‘hood that was home to the mall in Fast Times At Ridgemont High.

The four-day festival takes place November 6-9 at the WhiteFire Theatre.

CURTAINS will be one of 100 shorts and features screened over five days in November at the 2018 Reel East Texas Film Festival, a festival dedicated to showcasing independent filmmakers situated in Kilgore, Texas.

The city’s Main Street and Historic District is home to the iconic Texas landmark Texan Theatre, where CURTAINS will be screened at 3 PM on Friday, Nov. 16.

Located in the heart of the East Texas Piney Woods, Kilgore is unlike any other town in Texas. Its wildcatter spirit and workman mindset is ideally suited for independent filmmakers, and Kilgore’s signature skyline, authentic downtown and tall pine trees make for a picturesque Texas backdrop.

RETFF runs Nov. 14-18, bringing together audience, filmmaker and film industry representatives for world-class films, parties and mixers.
